Second Laser Added to the Shop

Added second laser to the shop. So far, best application has been making dimensional-accurate cardboard cutouts for panel retrofit job walks. (I mean, if drawings exist, are they accurate?). So many other possibilities are opened up with this tool!
The actual goal of this is two fold:
1. Replace Phenolic/Lamacoid Labels in GMP clean spaces (no edges to clean)
2. Stainless Steel instrument tags
The bonus is that anything is now hashtag#Swagable… (I’m making that a thing).
For now, nothing in the shop is safe from branding! Half of our tools have been engraved and random material laying around have sprouted burr-less holes.
Still haven’t tried plastics, but this MOPA fiber should mark/cut plastics.
Also, we’ve dialed in settings to produce colors on stainless steel.
