Start early. The trademark process can be lengthy—ours took roughly 16 months—so getting a head start is crucial.

Before submitting, ensure your design is solid and you’ve considered any potential challenges. You don’t want to be 10 months in only to restart.

The process requires patience, but don’t hesitate to follow up to keep things moving. You’ll get rough estimates (+/-2 months) of when to expect responses. Mark it on your calendar.

Expect Legal Involvement. There were more lawyers involved than anticipated. Engage a professional early to help navigate not just the application process but also handle the complexities of the review process.
