Single-Use Chromatography and TFF is Our Specialty

Single-use systems get a bit of a bad rap. Not so much for the equipment itself, but because of the cumbersome default interface. How do you find a better off-the-shelf solution, or figure out where to start retrofitting your existing equipment?

Obviously, Lucid Automation can help. But here are a couple of tips if you want to start on your own:

1. Vendor Sales people are key: Don’t rely on their Startup Technicians

The sales team knows the product and available options. If they don’t, they can call someone who does and push your requirements forward. Site technicians have a work order to fulfill; they’re not there to negotiate.

2. Bring an Automation Expert on board during the quoting phase

It’s cheaper to make changes while quoting than after the equipment’s on site. $1 at quoting is worth $1000 come startup time.

Use your budget wisely and engage an experienced automation expert early, so they can compare vendor quotes and options against your requirements.

If you don’t have requirements yet, they can suggest the best fit after reviewing your process and infrastructure.

3. If your operators are losing productivity due to a clunky interface or data system, contact your local integrator.

They can review your equipment and make the best recommendations that match your equipment.

There are many ways to make downstream purification systems like chromatography and tff so much more operator friendly.
